Where Does Sandboxie Plus Store Config?
Sandboxie Plus reads Sandboxie.ini from the Windows folder or the install folder. Sandbox contents live under the configured FileRootPath location.

Sandboxie searches for Sandboxie.ini in a fixed order and uses the first file it finds. Changes through the Plus interface rewrite that same file.
Each sandbox section defines its box settings and storage path. The default root keeps each box in a separate subfolder by user and box name.
Where Sandboxie Plus stores this, by platform
C:\Windows\Sandboxie.ini
First search location. When present, install folder copies are ignored. Reload config after a manual move or reboot to apply.
C:\Program Files\Sandboxie-Plus\Sandboxie.ini
Second search location. Classic installs use C Program Files Sandboxie instead. The SbieIni tool can query and update values without manual editing.
C:\Sandbox\<user>\<box>\
<user> is the Windows account name. <box> is the sandbox name such as DefaultBox. Path is set by FileRootPath and can be overridden per box.

The copy in C Windows takes priority. When it is absent, the copy in the install folder is used. Check the Plus editor title to confirm the loaded path.
Where are files changed inside a sandbox?
Under the FileRootPath folder for that box. Delete box contents from the Plus interface to reset state. Recover needed files before deletion.
