Upscayl keeps settings, recent files and UI state in its Electron user-data folder, while AI models live in the install tree or a models directory depending on build. Upscaled outputs save wherever you point them.
Models dominate disk usage at hundreds of megabytes each. Back up settings separately from models to keep migrations light.
