Where Does the Riot Client Store Logs and Config?
Riot Client LocalAppData folder with Logs and lockfile on Windows plus mac log path.
Last updated
The Riot Client keeps logs, session lockfile and config in LocalAppData under Riot Games, separate from each game's own folders. Support tickets routinely ask for the Logs folder zipped from here.
Game logs live with their games instead: VALORANT under its own Saved tree, League beside its install. The client folder covers launcher-side issues only.
Where Riot Client stores this, by platform
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Riot Games\Riot Client
Holds the Logs folder with dated client logs plus Config with the session lockfile. Copy Logs to the desktop and zip it for support tickets. Game-specific logs sit elsewhere: %LOCALAPPDATA%\VALORANT\saved\Logs for VALORANT and the install Logs folder for League. A full clean uninstall also clears %PROGRAMDATA%\Riot Games.

In Config under the folder above while the client runs. Local API tools read it for the port and session token.
