Where Does Mod Organizer 2 Store Mods?

Mod Organizer 2 uses instances to isolate setups per game. Each instance holds mods and profiles in a fixed layout with downloads and overwrite data.

Installer based setups store global instances under Local AppData. Portable setups store the same folders next to ModOrganizer.exe. Check Manage Instances to see the active path.

<username> is your Windows account name. <instance> is the instance name such as SkyrimSE. Holds one folder per installed mod. Portable installs use <install>\mods instead where <install> is the Mod Organizer 2 folder.
