The Figma desktop app stores login state, window state and cache locally. Your actual files are not there. Drafts and projects live in Figma's cloud under your account.
This distinction matters at reinstall time. Wiping local app data signs you out and clears cache, but it cannot delete cloud files.

Standard Electron app data layout. Clearing it logs you out and drops cached thumbnails. Your files stay in the cloud.
