Where Does Fiddler Store Captures and Scripts?
Fiddler Documents folder with Captures, custom rules and response replacers on Windows.
Last updated
Fiddler Classic keeps user data in Documents under a Fiddler2 folder: saved sessions, custom rules, response replacers and extension state. The root certificate lives in the Windows store rather than here.
Saved .saz archives are the portable unit for sharing captures. Copy the folder and scripts plus recent sessions move machines together.
Where Fiddler stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Fiddler2
Holds Captures for saved sessions, CustomRules for FiddlerScript, and ResponseTemplates. The decrypting root cert sits in the Windows certificate store, so export it separately when moving HTTPS setups. Copy the folder with Fiddler closed.
