Where Does Enpass Store Vaults and Backups?
Enpass stores each vault as an encrypted database in a location chosen by the user. Local automatic backups are kept separately in a user chosen backup folder.

Enpass does not keep passwords on its own servers. A vault can sync through a personal cloud account, stay in a local folder, or sync offline over WiFi. Each vault has its own password and sync target.
Automatic daily backups keep the 60 most recent copies in the backup folder set in Settings Backup. Manual backups from File Backup use any location picked at save time.

<backup-folder> is the folder shown in Enpass Settings Backup Location. Change it with Change Location. It holds automatic daily copies. Live vault files stay in the sync folder or cloud chosen per vault.

How do I enable automatic backups?
Open Settings Backup, turn on Backup Automatically, review Location, use Change Location if needed, then check Previous Backups to confirm copies appear.
Where is the live vault file?
It is wherever the vault sync points: personal cloud storage, WebDAV, Nextcloud, WiFi sync peer or a Folder Sync directory. Check vault Settings for the exact target before copying.
