Where Does the EA App Install Games?
EA App default games folder on Windows and how to confirm or change it per game.
Last updated
The EA App defaults to an EA Games folder in Program Files, one subfolder per title. Legacy Origin installs used an Origin Games folder that can linger after migration.
Custom install paths are common, so the settings panel is the source of truth. Old Origin folders are safe to remove once the client no longer references them.
Where EA App stores this, by platform
C:\Program Files\EA Games
One subfolder per game. Per-game custom locations override this default; verify in Settings > Download. Legacy C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games folders may remain from Origin-era installs.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find where an EA game installed?
Open the EA App, go to Settings > Download, and read the install location. Each game's page also exposes its folder. Trust those over the default.
How do I move EA games to another drive?
Change the path in Settings > Download for future installs. For existing games, move through the app's own options or reinstall pointed at the new drive; hand-moving folders breaks the client's tracking.
